Our ambitious masterplan for Vinge Center is one step closer to realization after breaking ground this week. THIRD NATURE participated, together with Frederikssunds Kommune, AP Pension, MT Højgaard, Henning Larsen Arkitekter and 150 excited citizens.
THIRD NATURE joined the groundbreaking for Vinge Center and happily grabbed a spade and helped with the first digging. Back in 2014 THIRD NATURE, together with Henning Larsen Arkitekter, MOE og RPA, won the competition to draw the masterplan of Vinge city – a highly visionary plan based on pragmatic nature, varied urban characteristics, social qualities, green mobility and much more.
At the end of June 2017 Frederikssunds Kommune announced a collaboration with the investors AP Pension, – a deal that brought Vinge closer to realization. Today MT Højgaard, AP Pension and Frederikssunds Kommune, collaborate in building the new city Vinge.
Vinge Center will amongst other house 150.000 square meter building. The area will be imprinted by a dense city center, where nature and city are mixed into a new typology. Integrating the best of the two worlds creates the framework for a unique and exciting life for the residents of Vinge. The city will consist of apartments, commercial leases, retail and public institutions. Vinge Station has a special character in the city and will function as the city center. In 2015 the project won the LEAF award in the category Urban Design of the Year 2015. Read more about our masterplan here.
THIRD NATURE is looking forward to seeing Vinge built and follow the city’s development in the future!
