Ole and Fleming were invited to Stockholm
to the first seminar arranged by the newly founded ‘Birthe och Per Arwidssons Stiftelse’. The theme of the seminar is ‘The City and the Future’. We participated alongside the legendary Gert Wingårdh and the artist Dan Wolgers. Our motto ‘City+Nature=Fusion!’ was used in our lecture and the panel debate.
In 2014 Per Arwidsson donated a large part of his estate to create the foundation that works on urban development, architecture, art, landscape art, and the humanities to improve cities through implementation of the human scale, that is based on the people in cities.
“During my 35 years in the construction and real estate business , I have felt a growing need for gathering different which affect the city. To achieve viable , affordable and pleasant environments in which people’s well-being is at the center, requires constructive discussions – also about the conflict – and create a new platform for cooperation. With this understanding my partner Birthe and I decided to create Birthe and Per Arwidssons Foundation. This foundation is about a long-term vision to affirm our issues concerning the creation of art, architecture and environment, based on humanism in a broader sense. ”
– Per Arwidsson
