By shaping things, buildings and places the past and “the existing” can often appear as limiting for new projects. In the exhibition three architect offices and two artists are showing examples of how it is to develop on the existing. To repair can enrich the solutions and their very expression.
Rodeo arkitekter, Tandberg arkitekter, Tredje Natur, Kari Steihaug and Kristoffer Myskja are invited to the same challenge: to research and express the aesthetic potential in reparations. It has ended in an a exhibition with a different, yet mutually enriched expressions.
The potential of reparations does not lie in the universal and perfect, but in the uniquely customized and continuously flexible. This varies depending if you are working with darning gloves or restoring nature in an urban space.
