TREDJE NATUR is selected for a competition concerning a welcome center
for the Mols Bjerge National park. We are excited to draw a proposal for the competition in collaboration with Norwegian Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, EKJ engineering consultant, scenographer Anne Schnettler and Dark Matters. The team has to give a proposal for a 750 m² sustainable welcome center that humbly will fit into the unique area by Kalø Castle ruin south of Rønde in Syddjurs municipality.

Kalø

National park Mols Bjerge lies on the southern part of Djursland and is spread out over 180 km². The national park has a completely unique content in nature regarding dry grassland, coast and forest landscapes. These are particularly special and informative Ice Age landscapes and unique culture environments.

Along with its characteristic historical this place will give the guests the best possible opportunity to get information about the national park’s nature and cultural aspects of the qualities and outdoor recreational opportunities The welcome center also has to convey Kalø’s completely unique cultural history and supports as well as develops the many activities that are at Kalø Castle ruin today.” – Part of the competition program

THE TEAM’S MOTIVATION
The team has the ambition to make the welcome center for the national park Mols Bjerge to a unique welcome center that dares to draw out and intertwine the great landscape qualities as well as historical. We are excited to draw an entrance that will strengthen the recreational value of the place and cultural value with the people and nature in focus.
