INTEGRATION, TOGETHERNESS AND COMMUNITY
Sølund lies in a unique place between a recreative and lively area on Nørrebro. The vision is to create a complex, that will become an integrated part of a vibrant and attractive urban district. To support this a large part of the complex’s common areas and stores will be located on street level.
The Future Sølund will take its form from the surrounding complexes. At the same time it will be more up to date and a more open interpretation, where the nursing home, daycare, student housing and senior housing community is located in good relation to each other in the complex. Taking the residents into consideration in terms of privacy and security our vision is creating The Future Sølund complex more open to the surrounding areas and supports the opportunity for integrating social and activities as well as togetherness and community.
2015-2022
It is expected that the project competition is implemented in autumn of 2015, this way the chosen teams for the competition are giving their competition proposals in December 2015. The construction itself will be completed in two phases starting ultimo 2018 and handed over medio 2022. The project will be realized under the regulations for general housing and has a budget of ca. 800 mio dkk incl. VAT. Contracting authority is expecting to be a part of the main consultant agreement along with the winner of the project competition.
The project will be implemented with SAB (Samvirkende Boligselskaber) as the client and contracting authority. It is expected that Copenhagen Municipality’s Health- and Care Department (SUF) will be the tenants of the Care centers service area. By doing so there will be a separate agreement for renting out the student housing with ASF in collaboration with Copenhagen Municipality’s Social Services (SOF). Besides that it is expected that Copenhagen Municipality’s Technical- and Environmental Department (TMF) finally will be users and owners of the public parking spaces and Copenhagen Municipality’s Children- and Youth department (BUF) will be the users and owners of the institution.
