THIRD NATURE strengthens the organisation after five years in the field by appointing two project directors and hiring more talented and experienced people.

In the spring, THIRD NATURE turned five years old. Five years that have been very eventful. The first baby steps were taken quickly and we have run at an ambitious pace since in order to pursue our agenda. We are constantly working to shorten the ingrained gap between city and landscape in architecture, and create a balance between the built and the biological in both the dense city and the open landscape. Our work has resulted in THIRD NATURE growing to a medium-sized studio with 25 employees and several major projects under construction. It has been an exciting process and we feel very lucky with all the fun projects, clients and collaborators we have had the opportunity to work with.

The professional development of THIRD NATURE has required some changes in our organization. Our focus has been on generating a sharp team, where people can contribute with their individual qualifications and expertise to guarantee that we can deliver architectural work of the highest quality in all phases.

TWO NEW PROJECT DIRECTORS
This past spring Jakob Ohm Laursen and Anders Juul Jensen, who have worked at THIRD NATURE since 2015, were appointed project directors. Their role is to create a cohesion between clients, business interests and THIRD NATURE’s agenda together with CEO Malene Krûger.

Jakob Ohm Laursen is an architect with many years of experience as project manager and project leader. This has given him solid experience with coordinating and solving large and complex architectural projects in close collaboration with clients, project and user groups.

”I have always found it interesting to create links between the architectural profession and the organization and industry behind it. Those elements need to function well together, and THIRD NATURE has given me many opportunities to act out the ambition to successfully make that happen. As project director, I’m excited to an even greater extent to develop and professionalize THIRD NATURE in different areas, while maintaining our strong architectural profile at the same time” says Jakob.

Anders Juul Jensen is educated landscape gardener and landscape architect. Anders has substantial experience in being involved in all aspects of a project and has both practical and technical experiences with project detailing, technical inspection, botany and operation and maintenance plans.

“My vision as a landscape architect has from the beginning been to work with project planning and ensure quality from the sketch phase to completed project. It is important to me, that the users are just as enthusiastic about the realized project as with the first drafts and visualizations. Over the past five years, THIRD NATURE has successfully gotten itself in the playing field with bigger projects and I’m excited to manage the projects ahead, now that we are actually starting to break ground” says Anders.

NEW FACES
During the past few months, we have hired some qualified and experienced people who are already working intensively on our projects. Besides possessing relevant skills, the new employees share a passion for the profession and aim to get THIRD NATURE’s agenda out into the world. Together we will create new projects that increase value for the users, the city and the planet. Please welcome them!

Project manager Dennis Rasmussen is a constructing architect with a wide range of knowledge and experience in technical design for administration buildings, car parks, housing and schools. Dennis has previously worked at C. F. Møller and BIG. Dennis is currently project manager for URBANPLANEN.

Architect Martin Trier is also educated constructing architect and carpenter. Martin has previously worked at Henning Larsen, TNT Arkitekter and Grönin Arkitekter. Martin is one of THIRD NATURE’s key people working on the SØLUND project.
